Just to let you know a little about me, I have lived in Cedartown my whole life and love my little hometown! I am now raising my daughter, Emery, as a Cedartown Bulldog as well. We enjoy spending time with each other and our family, cooking out, and finding things to do outside. We are avid Atlanta Braves fans, and we also enjoy cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons!
I am a 2006 Cedartown High School graduate and received my bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of West Georgia in 2010. I also added on Middle Grades Math and Science to my certificate in 2010 as well. I then decided to further my education and received my masters degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Nova Southeastern University in 2012. I then finished my gifted certification in 2013.
I began my teaching career at Haralson County Middle School where I taught Math and Science from 2010 until 2018, which is when I was led to Cedartown Middle School. This year, I will be teaching six physical education classes and one 6th grade gifted/advanced math class. I will also be coaching the CMS girls basketball team.
I truly believe that every student that comes through the doors of CMS has the ability to achieve great things. I have always loved how each student is different and I believe that part of my job is to find the potential in each student and help them reach their goals in my classroom and in their future. I strive to make each student feel as special as I know they are. My goal is to make sure every student that enters and exits my door knows that I am here to support, encourage, challenge, and cheer them on when they reach their goals.
