Dear Students, Parents, and Business/Industry/Community Partners:
As of July 1, 2015, Polk County College and Career Academy (PCCCA) became an official charter school providing unlimited college and career opportunities to the students of Polk School District that directly support Polk County's education and workforce development needs. This includes career pathways, Dual Enrollment course offerings, student internship and work-based learning experiences, and business and industry partnerships.
I feel certain that the more you learn about PCCCA, the more impressed you will be. We have some of the finest teachers in the state preparing some of the most talented students in Georgia with the knowledge and skill needed to succeed in 21st century careers. In addition, we have students graduating with their high school diplomas and up to two years of college credit complete thanks to our partnering post-secondary institutions--Georgia Highlands College and Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
It is my privilege to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Polk County College and Career Academy supporting the incredible efforts of Polk School District to prepare students with 21st century skills. A special thanks to our Superintendent, the Polk School District Board of Education, the Polk County College and Career Academy Board of Directors, and the Polk County community for the continued support of this endeavor. We look forward to what the future holds for PCCCA.
Dr. Katherine M. Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
