Welcome to my online classroom. I am the assistant principal at Westside Elementary School. I absolutely love working with students and teachers each day!
I was born and raised in Polk County. I graduated from Rockmart High School in 2003. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2007, with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Teaching, and an endorsement in Gifted Education. I have taught gifted education, fifth grade, second grade, and third grade. I have also served as an early intervention teacher and instructional technology specialist in our district. I have a huge heart for elementary education and love serving the amazing students, teachers, and staff at Westside.
My favorite part of education is instruction. I love to build lessons that bring learning to life for students. I believe that every child can learn. I believe it is important to create a positive learning environment where all students feel safe and secure. I strive to help our students reach their full potential and develop a love for learning along the way.
I am married to Cody Fannin. We have three children. Our oldest son is a fifth grader, our daughter is in first grade, and our youngest son is two. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. If you need anything at all, please contact me. I look forward to a wonderful school year!
