I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia in 1997, and attained my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from Jacksonville State University in 2010.
In 1997, I began working in Polk School District. For the past 22 years, I have taught kindergarten (14 years), third grade (9 years), and presently first grade. I am excited to begin my 23rd year in this awesome profession!
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my amazing children. I have a daughter, who is a freshman at Oglethorpe University, and my son is a freshman at Cedartown High.
My educational philosophy: Each student I teach holds a special place in my heart, therefore I strive to provide a safe learning environment. I strive for growth in learning by presenting academic challenges to ensure success. I expect each child to give 100%, as I do myself.
