My name is Miranda Chappell. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia in 2009. I am originally from Cedartown but now reside in Hiram with my husband, Trey, our daughter, Brooklyn (10) and our son, Rylan (5). I have worked for Polk School District since January 2012. I worked at Cherokee Elementary as a SPED Paraprofessional from 2012-2015 then a Pre-k teacher from 2015-2019. I will now be teaching Kindergarten at Van Wert Elementary and am looking forward to the change. I am so excited about the upcoming school year and looking forward to working with my students.
As an Educator, I strive to provide a positive learning environment for my students so that they may be successful in their learning and become lifelong learners. I believe that all students learn in their own unique way. I believe that all students strive to make a connection with their teacher and once that connection is made, they are ready to learn. I believe that all students can be reached and that its important to learn the student first so that they can be taught the way they learn best.
