Students and Parents,
We will be taking up the Distance Learning Packets next week. 6th grade will be taken up Monday, May 4, 7th Grade Tuesday, May 5, and 8th Grade Wednesday, May 6. Times each day will be 11:00 – 1:00 and 4:00 – 6:00. All packets will be turned in at the front of the school. We will also take library books at this location. We ask that you make sure the student’s name is on all paperwork turned in. We also ask that you remain in your car at all times and we will come to you.
In addition to packet return, these will also be the days that all uniforms are returned to RMS, Band Instruments may be retrieved, and Yearbooks may be picked up or purchased (Yearbook cost is $50.00 and you will need to have exact change or a check written to Rockmart Middle School). We will have stations for each of these items set up in our teacher parking lot. We ask that everyone turn in packets first and then, if needed, visit the other stations. Again, we ask that you stay in our car and allow RMS staff to assist you.

End of Year, Middle School Band News
You can sign up for SmartMusic all the way to June 30. It is free free free! Creating an account is easy, and then I activate it. With each day of uncertainty, we all can at least practice and have fun with music while we do it. Please get on SmartMusic and explore!
INSTRUMENT PICK UP AND INSTRUMENT RETURN.
For all students 6-7-8, follow these instructions:
- If you own your own instrument, you need to pick it up from the band room.
- If you have an instrument that belongs to Mr. Day, you need to return it so that I can do inventory.
When do you do this? 11am – 1pm, 4pm – 6pm
May 4th, Monday: 6th grade (instrument pickup/return)
May 5th, Tuesday: 7th grade (instrument pickup/return)
May 6th, Wednesday: 8th grade (instrument pickup/return)
ALL STUDENTS: Be ready with your locker number. We will only permit ONE student at a time to retrieve an instrument. We will have a table ready for students turning in RMS BAND instruments.
