I am excited to begin my 18th year of teaching and my second year at Cedartown Middle School in Polk County! I graduated from Cedartown High School in 1996. After high school, I attended North Georgia College and earned a degree in Psychology. I returned to UGA to earn my teaching certificate in 2004.
I started my teaching career at Snellville Middle School with Gwinnett County Schools teaching ELA, Science, and Social Studies. I moved to Brookwood Elementary school where I taught all 3rd Grade subjects for 9 years. After completing the GCPS Aspiring Leader Program, I served as an Assistant Principal for GCPS for four years. During this time, I completed a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy and earned two Specialist's Degrees. I graduated from UGA in 2017 with a degree in Educational Leadership.
I have three amazing children, one dog, one cat, and a fish. On the weekends in the fall, you will hear us yell, "Go Dawgs!"
