Youngs Grove Elementary offers an After-School Program. Staff members work together to provide a safe, supervised, and relaxed environment for children of our school from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
The afternoon schedule includes a snack from 3:30-3:45, and homework knockout from 3:45-4:30 daily; 4:30-5:30 activities include: movie day, arts & crafts, puzzles, board games, gym or outdoor activities. For pickup before 5:30, we are always located in or around the gym area. The doors will be locked; please text or call 770-715-1852 if there is no one at the door. If picking up at 5:30, please pull around to the bus ramp for your child.
The cost for students participating is $35.00 for one child plus $5.00 for each additional child in the family per week. That is equivalent to $3.50 per hour for one child or $4.00 for two children an hour. Payment is due on each Friday or the last Friday of the month if paying on a monthly basis. Drop-In services are provided at a cost of $7.00 per day per child.
Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances, you may be late picking up your child by 5:30. If you realize you will be late, please contact the school office at 678-901-4294. If the office is closed-normally by 4:00, please call or text 770-715-1852 to let us know so that your child will not be worried. If this should occur more than one time, an additional charge of $1.00 per child per minute will be due at the time of pick-up.
Each child will need to be signed out daily by a person listed on the registration form. Written permission from a parent or guardian is necessary for anyone other than persons listed on the form to pick up a child and should be turned into the office that morning for verification. For your child’s safety, no child will be released to another person without a written note and confirmation from the office. EVERY person picking up your child must bring a picture form of identification for verification. This includes parents and guardians. Please remember that this is for the safety of your child.
ALL Polk School District behavior/discipline guidelines will be adhered to during the after school program hours. A child may be removed from the YGES After School Program if behavior issues arise.
No child can attend without submitting a registration form, parent pickup information, or prepaying.

In order to keep your child safe, we have implemented a COVID-19 plan for our after school program. Students will be placed into small groups to avoid large group exposure.
