Title I is the largest federal assistance program for schools.  The goal of Title I is to help every child get a high-quality education.   Title I provides extra services, such as supplemental teachers, supplies, and technology,  for all schools in our district.   Polk School District values the role of parents and community members please contact me if you have any additional questions or concerns.     

McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth

The McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth program is designed to address the problems that homeless children and youth have faced in enrolling, attending, and succeeding in school. Under this program, Polk School Distirct must ensure that each homeless child and youth has equal access to the same free, appropriate public education, as other children and youth.Please contact David Tucker at david.tucker@polk.k12.ga.us or at 770-748-3821 for more information.


Migrant Education Program (MEP)

The Migrant Education Program (MEP) is a federally funded program designed to support comprehensive educational programs for migrant children to help reduce the educational disruption and other problems that result from repeated moves.  Please contact David Tucker ( david.tucker@polk.k12.ga.us ) at 770-748-4932 for more information.

The English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program is offered to all English Language Learners who meet the eligibility criteria.  This program aids in the success of a limited English proficient student in an English-speaking classroom.
